  1. My wife and I will be arriving 9/9/10 at 11am to 8pm in Cozumel via Carnival Inspiration. Will you have a tour at that time? Also wanted to confirm we would have time to visit the ruins even for a brief period. Your rate sounds good, and hopefully we can group with others for that rate. Thank you for your time. Sicerely, Mark

    1. Hello Mark,
First of all, thank you for your interest in the Cozumel Choice Tours.

In September the daily departure time for our tours to Tulum and Akumal are 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am.

We always keep the same rate, so even if it’s the two of you there will not be any price increase.
The way to book your trip:
      – Go to the Cozumel Choice website (www.cozumelchoice.com)
      – Choose your tour
      – Choose the date in the calendar
      – Insert your data
      – Make the payment of the 20% of the tour per person

Once your online booking is complete we will contact you shortly via email to send you the voucher containing all the tour details such as tour name, date, number of persons, itinerary, etc.
This voucher will also show a photo and a map of the meeting point in Cozumel. Print this voucher and bring it the day of the tour.

      See you in September!

  2. Hi,
My husband and i will be arriving to Cozumel on August 28th 2010 at 8 AM thru Carnival Ectasy, and departs at 5 PM, do we have time to do this excursion?
    thanks
    Nancy

    1. Good morning, Nancy

Our longest tour is 5,5 hours. Your ship will dock in Cozumel for 9 hours. You will have plenty of time to do any of our tours.
We guarantee punctuality as in 5 years we never missed a deadline. Only consider being at the meeting point 30 minutes before check in, please.

If you have any problem when booking your tour let me know. I’ll be happy to help you.

Once more, thank you for your time and preference

    2. Hola Pilar!
it turns out our ship gets in at 9 AM, do we book for the 10 departure and do we still have time to make it back by 5?? I really want to do this excursion but my husband is very concerned that we will not be back on time and miss our ship? what type of guarantees do you offer? if we are running behind will carnival wait for us??do you let them know??
thank you so much for your assistance!!
      Nancy

      1. Hola Nancy,
Once your cruise docks it will only take you 10 to 15 minutes by taxi to get to the San Miguel ferry pier, that is the meeting point for your tour.
In our way back from Playa del Carmen we will take the 3pm ferry to Cozumel and it’s only a 45 minute ride. Ferries are also very punctual, so you’ll be taking your cab to your cruise ship at 3:50pm. You will make it in time to your cruise ship.
99% of our clients come from cruise ships, so we’re extremely cautious with punctuality.
If you still want to call us, please, dial (+52) 1 987 107 0028

        Thank you

  3. Hi Pilar,
thanks for your reply. My husband is still a bit concern because we will actually arrive at 9 to the port and depart at 5. does that still give us enough time? do you communicate with carnival if necessary if we are running late and will carnival work with you to wait for us? Please let me know so that we may continue with our booking. how far is the ferry that we need to take from where the ship docks?…PS i tried calling you guys directly but the call would not go thru..
    thanks
    Nancy

    1. Hello Nancy,
Cozumel Choice offers semi-private tours, that is, prices of a regular tour but services of a private one. We’ll be there with you and help you to get back in time to your ship.

  4. I want to make a reservation for the Tulum Ruins tour for November 10. 1 adult, 1 child.

How do I get this done?

    1. Dear Kevin,
      Thank you for choosing us.
For November 10 we have 3 available tours: 9am, 10am and 11am. Which one suits you better?

To complete your order is very simple and will only take 4 simple steps:
      – Go to the bottom of the page “Tulum Ruins” and choose the excursion name: “Tulum Ruins”
      – Fill in the deposit amount for an adult and a child: $34
      – Press “pay now”
      – Fill in your payment details as requested, and done!!

Do not hesitate to contact us again should you have any question.
      Thank you

    2. Our cruise ship doesn’t get in to Cozumel until 1:00PM so it sounds like your tour is not an option for us. Am I missing something?

      1. Dear Kevin,
Thank you for your email and for your interest in booking with us.
Please, let me check if I can offer you an alternative timetable after 1pm.
I’ll get back to you soon.

        Best,

        Cozumel Choice

        1. Dear Kevin,
To suit your timetable we can offer you a private tour at $250 USD total. It will be cheaper than if you go on your own and you will have the guide exclusively for you two. Once in Tulum you may suggest your guide to take you to the beach and cool down in the water for a while or go on a boat ride to see the astonishing view of the ruins from the sea…
If you’re interested click on this link and follow the steps to complete your booking. You only need to leave a deposit of $50 USD to confirm your booking and afterwards we’ll send you the confirmation voucher with useful information for the day of the trip such as emergency phone numbers, map of the meeting point, etc.

Thank you for choosing the Cozumel Choice to visit Tulum.

  5. I am planning on booking this excursion on June 18, 2011 with 2 adults and 2 children. I will be getting off of the Carnival Elation and it is docked in Cozumel from 9am-5pm. Because you mentioned that Cozumel may be an hour earlier time than the ship, I need to know what time I should book. I want to go as early as possible so we won’t have to worry about getting back to the ship on time (preferrably an hour to spare after excursion). I am intersted in the Tulum and snorkel combo.
    Thanks.
    Donna

    1. Dear Donna,
Thank you for your interest in our tours.
I’ve checked your cruise ship schedule and on 18 June 2011 it docks at Cozumel at 09:00am, local time so you can book your Tulum ruins and snorkel combo for 10:00am. It will take you about 10 minutes to get from your pier to the meeting point in downtown.

To complete your booking you just need to go click on this link: http://cozumelchoice.com/tours/tulum-ruins-snorkel-combo/ and follow the 2 easy steps:
1-choose your date and fill in the tour details
2- make your booking down payment.

After that we’ll send you the confirmation voucher with practical information for the day of the tour such as emergency phone numbers, map of the meeting point and some suggestions to make enhance the experience of your trip.

Please, let me know if I can help you further.

  6. Hi,
I will be visiting Cozumel on a royal carribean cruise in early February. I will be traveling with 6 adults and 1 infant. I see above you offered someone a private tour fir $250. I am wondering if it would be possible to book something like this for the 7 of us. If so, what would be the cost? If it is not possible to do a private tour, do you charge for infants (6 months old) on your regular tour? Thanks!
    Sarah

    1. Hi Sarah,
      Thank you for contacting us.
      Cozumel Choice always offers a high-quality semi-private service at a non-private price.
Tulum ruins for 6 adults is $570 USD total (95 USD per person), of course the baby doesn’t pay, but considering it’s a group we can offer you the whole tour for $500 USD.
If you are interested please, go back to http://www.cozumelchoice.com and complete your booking. You’ll be requested to leave a 20% deposit, the balance will be fulfilled in cash the same day of the tour.

Thank you again for choosing Cozumel Choice.

  7. My husband and I are wanting to do the Tulum tour on Friday, December 10, 2010l. We are coming in on Carnival Valor and will arrive at 8:00 am. Can you tell me what the time change is and what would be the best time to book this tour? Our ship departs at 5:00 pm.

We excited to visit the ruins at Tulum and look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Dear Julie,
      Thank you for contacting us.
I’ve checked the cruise ship schedule for Cozumel and It turns out that your arrival (8am) and departure (5pm) are local Cozumel time. You can either book the 9:00 or 10:00 as from any cruise ship pier it won’t take you more than 10 minutes to make it to the San Miguel ferry pier in downtown, that is the meeting point.
Even if you book at 10:00 you’ll be back in the 3:00pm ferry to Cozumel, and it only takes 45 minutes to arrive in the island.
May I suggest that you consider the Tulum ruins and snorkel combo? It’s only $5 more dollars per person but It’s amazing to discover the ruins both from the sea and from land. Snorkel is only an option that you don’t need to do if you don’t wish, but the trip by boat in front of the ruins is just breathtaking…

Whichever option you choose. Please, go back to our website to complete your booking.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.
Looking forward to sharing our passion for Tulum with you.

  8. We are arriving on January 3rd on Carnival Imagination at 1 pm. Is that too late for a tour of the ruins? We don’t leave until 10 pm.

    Courtney

    1. Hello Courtney,
      Thank you for contacting us.
I’m afraid that your arrival time doesn’t fit our regular tour schedule, however, I can check to offer you a private tour to the ruins. Let me know if you’re interested in which case I’d need to know the number of people that would be taking the tour.

Thank you for choosing Cozumel Choice

  9. Hi, I will be traveling on a Carnival cruise arriving in Cozumel at 8am on March 18, 2011 and departing at 5pm. First, do you require a passport or some other form of identification for US citizens? Second, which time should I book to allow for the most time at Tulum but also plenty of time to make it back to the ship on time?

  10. Hello, we are arriving on Royal Caribbean, Radiance of the Seas at 8AM on Sat Feb 12th. There are two of us. We would like a private tour or a very small group tour. Is this possible? Thanks!

    1. Hello Jody,
Our tours are always for small groups. I’ll check how many people we’re expecting for Feb 12th and get back to you tomorrow so that you choose to go with the group or to contract a private guide for you two exclusively.

  11. We are arriving on Royal Caribbean on Feb. 12 and are interested in your Tulum tour. Can you tell me the details and cost? There will be 3 of us. Thanks.

  12. My husband and I will be arriving on the Crown Princess (Princess Cruises) into Cozumel on March 9, 2011 from 7am to 5pm. We are interested in touring the Tulum ruins but we would also really like to snorkel. Do you recommend the Land and Sea tour for this combination? Approximately how much time is spent at the ruins and how much snorkeling? Also, which time would be best for us to book, and do you have room on that tour for us? How large are your tours? Thanks so much for your information and help. I really appreciate it.

  13. Hello I am interested in a excursion with you guys after reading the fabulous reviews! I like small groups and snorkelling! My partner is super interested in the ruins so is looking really forward to the upcoming cruise May 16th.

Please let me know pricing and how to reserve? We will be sailing with Carnival.

    Thank you
    Jennifer

  14. I would like to book the Tulum tour for May 17th. I am on the Carnival Legend and we are arriving Cozumel at 9 am ship time. Which tour time should I sign up for? Thank you.

  15. Pilar –
My wife and I are arrival on Saturday, July 23 on Carnival Elation with 9am arrival and 5 pm departure. What would you recommend in order to tour Tulum and have plenty of time returning to the ship prior to departure? Do we have time to do anything since this is our first visit to the Cozumel area. Thanks. Andrew

  16. Jan 10, 2012 – arriving via Carnival Triump port arrival 8am, depart 4pm

We would prefer a small group – for family of 4. Traveling with 19 year-old son with autism/tourettes and don’t want to be on big bus to disturb others. We would love to see as much as we can – prefer travel via boat, than just on land. Snorkel sounds good (Tulum, not with turtles), what do you recommend. Afraid of getting back to port to ship on time.

  17. Hello. We are arriving in Cozumel on a Carnival cruise ship on October 29, 2011, which docks at 1:00 pm. We are a small group, 3 adult and 3 kids (13 years-old each), and would like to visit the Mayan Ruins and spend some time enjoying a white sandy beach and possibly snorkeling. If a meal is included, it would have to include some “gringo” food for the kids, who are pretty typically picky eaters. So, while I know we will be in Mexico, the kids would prefer some American food…

Would this be something you could do, and if so, what kind of pricing? Would we be picked up at the port (cruise dock area), or would we need to have transportation to meet you?

    Thank you in advance!

  18. Hello, we are two people arriving on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas at 9am on 10 January and leaving at 6pm. We are interested in the Tulum by Land and Sea. Does that mean we should try for the 10am departure from the ferry terminal? We don’t know where the cruise ships dock, compared to the ferry terminal. Thanks.

  19. My wife and I will be arriving Wednesday, October 19 on the Disney Magic. We would like to make a reservation to see the ruins. 2 Adults.

    1. I received a paypal request from you today, but the amount seems off. I just want to make sure we are scheduled for the Tulum Ruins. Thank you!

  20. Dear Cozumel Choice-

We’re coming into Cozumel via the MSC Poesia on Thursday, November 17. It appears that the ship will be docked at port from 8:00am – 6:00pm. What’s the latest departure time that we should select for the Tulum Ruins by Sea and by Land in order to be back to the ship in ample time? Would we be okay with the 11:00am? 10:00am? We do see that we’d have to be there 30 minutes prior… Please let us know so we can proceed with booking. Thank you. Jeff A.

  21. Hello,

My husband and I will be arriving in Cozumel on Thursday, November 17th on the Oasis of the Seas. In port from 8am to 7pm. Do you have a sail, snorkel, and tulum tour
on that date within these times.

    Thank you for your time.

    Michele

  23. Hello, I was wondering about your sea turtle snorkel tour. I will be in Cozumel in Dec and I have some family that will be in Akumal at a resort there during that time and so I was wondering if when going to akumal if you take us to a resort if so which one. Thinking of meeting up with my family if I decide to do this tour. Please let me know. thanks

  24. Hi,
We will be taking a cruise and the ship is supposed to arrive at 11 am. I was told the ship usually arrives in port before the posted time (I have never been on a cruise). Would it be possible to take the 11 am tour if the ship arrives at 11 am. If not, are there other options
    Thanks,
    Ashley

  25. We are taking the Royal Caribbean ‘Jewel of the Seas’ and will be in Cozumel Monday December 12th. Is that too short notice for us to take your Tulum trip/excursion, as we are departing from Tampa on 10th/tommorrow.

Can we connect up in Playa del Carmen in the morning and begin the tour at that point.

    Wally

  26. My family of 5 will be arriving on the Crown Princess on 12/29/11. I am wondering if it is possible to do both Tulum and swim with the dolphins. I don’t see anything on your site about the dolphin swim, but you do say that you customize, so I am asking. We want to do it all, so please let me know if you can help us with this.

    Thank you

  27. My wife and I arrive in Cozumel aboard the Mariner of the Seas on Feb 7 at 7:00 AM and depart at 4:00 PM. We want to maximize our stay there with special interest in seeing the ruins at Tulum. We also enjoy beach time and snorkeling. Which tour(s) would you recommend. My wife and I are early birds and like to start as early as possible. The reviews posted on the internet re your tours are outstanding. Thank You

  28. Hello-
I am wondering if you do any tours to Chichen Itza? We are arriving into Cozumel via the Jewel of the Seas on March 28, 2012.
    Thank you, amy

THE REVIEWS ON YOUR TOURS ARE GREAT!

  30. Hi!

My husband and I will be in Cozumel for the day on 2/11/12 on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas and we are interested in a Tulum and snorkeling combo. Is that available and possible with the time we have? I believe our ship is in port from 8 – 6, but we are told we need to be back no less than 1 hr before sailing time. We hope this is not too late to book.

    Thanks!

  31. Hey Pilar!

My friend is bringing a young lady to Cozumel on a cruise but is interested in the Dolphin gig…I am worried about them getting around and was wondering if you had someone who could help them and how much for the dolphin encounter if so? I traveled last year to Cozumel and Sandy and I met up with you for Tulum.

    Thanks

  32. Hola
    Moritz

  33. Our ship, Carnival Dream, will be in Cozumel on March 5, 2012 from 10AM to 6PM only. Is that enough time to get a ferry to/from the mainland and a tour of Tulum in this time frame? We don’t want to book it and then find out the times are not possible. Thanks.

  34. We recently returned from a fabulous time in Mexico. We were on the Norwegian Star during the week of the 19th of February. We started with Roatan, then Belize, Costa Mayer, and finally Cozumel. I have to say that David in Costa Mayer and Vincent/Fernando in Cozumel were excellent hosts and guides. We learned alot and had a great time. Keep up the good work and we long to return again.

  35. Xpertise Cruise Travel of Trinity, FL, arranged this tour for us (www.xpertisecruises.com). On March 30, 2012, tour guide Juan met Karin and me at the dock for the public ferry crossing from Cozumel to the mainland. (Yes, just my wife and Juan and I were our “tour group.”) En route, a four-man Mexican band who played on board the ferry for tips entertained us with surprisingly high quality renditions of local songs. Once on the mainland, and after a quick stop at Subway (yes, Subway) for sandwiches, we boarded a spotlessly clean taxi and we were off to Tulum on a modern, high-speed express highway!

During the 60 km ride to the ruins, we devoured our sandwiches while Juan spoke extensively in very good English about Mayan history and culture and tales of the ancient city we were about to visit. He answered all our questions courteously and completely. We soon felt as if we were traveling with a good friend.

At the ruins, Juan took us on a one-hour walking tour. His narration brought the past alive. From the peasants to the nobility to the gods who gave the Mayans their direction and purpose, Juan informed and entertained us. We suspected he may have lived in this ancient village in an earlier incarnation. He had no notes; indeed, the only thing he referred to was his watch – to make sure Karin and I left in time to make it back to our cruise ship. At the end of his presentation, Juan left us alone for about a half hour to explore and photograph the ruins on our own. From there, it was back to the taxi, the ferry, and eventually, our ship.

The five+ hours this tour took never before passed so quickly or interestingly!

Based on our experience on this particular day with Juan, Karin and I would heartily recommend Juan Villagomez Villalobos and Cozumel Choice for this wonderful ruins tour. They run several other tours, and we have every reason to believe those tours would be as highly professional and enjoyable as Juan made this one. And, oh, yes…their price is definitely right!

We hope you enjoy this tour as much as Karin and I did. And we strongly suggest you ask for Juan. He’s a delight and he really knows his stuff!

  36. Hi. We will be staying at the Fairmont Mayacoba April 19-22. We are interested in a tour of Tulum. What would it cost to pick us up at this hotel (near Playa del Carmen) and take us there and back? We will be either two, or four people.
Thank you for any information you can give me.
    Mary Brigham

  37. Hi. I had the honor of joining one of David’s tours in Costa Maya and was extremely excited to find you in my plans for this trip. I would like to book the tour to the Tulum ruins. I will be arriving on Carnival Magic on May 4, 2012 from 10-6. Which tour will best fit my time schedule and provide me with the most insight to the ruins? How much walking is required on this tour? I may be bringing others as well. Will DAVID be hosting the tour?!!!! How far is the meeting pier from the docking location? I am truly anxious to be a part of your group again. I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Once received I will book immediately. Count me in for at least 2 people.

    Thank you.
    Gail Goins

  38. Received your email. Awaiting your reply on previous questions. I will be arriving on the Carnival Magic next week May 4 and would like to book for 2 people to see the ruins. Please contact me regarding details. Thanks.

  39. I am recommending your company and especially Angela Alfaro on my face book and webpage…BUT..You should see the comment about the Cozumel Choice website. The pictures need to show COZUMEL and a description of San Gervasio. Here are some of the comments I recieved.

.I have been quiet for awhile, have not felt to great and then got hit by another Moto. But I am back with a few recommendations.

The Bistro at Hotel B has been brought to my attention as having good food, good service, and a romantic atmosphere. Give it a try.

Angela Alfaro with http://www.CozumelChoice.com is a San Gervasio expert and provides an interesting and entertaing tour.

Deborah Hughes Morningstar I would be excited to support this tour, however, I feel the web page is misleading. Where were the photos taken for the first page??? I would love to see something about Ixchel, and more about the ruins HERE if you are calling it Cozumel choice…..or at least mark the photos so people know what they are getting…10 minutes ago

.Cozumel Complete Guide II I will pass on your comment to the owners. By the way I agree about the website.8 minutes ago ·

Deborah Hughes Morningstar Thanks, I wanted to be supportive, for sure, but felt this could be problematic, If I went to San Gervasio and then expected to see what they show on their first page, I would be WAY shocked…quite different, no? I wish them great success, it’s a wonderful idea.

  40. Hello!

We would like to reserve the Tulum Ruin tour on the 13. th. of July (friday) for two people. We are on a Royal Carribean Cruise Ship (Freedom of the Seas) and the scheduale says, we are arriving at 10 AM. Is that also local time or is there a time difference? Can we go on one of your tours? Is there any other way to make a pre-payment than Paypal?

    Kind regards, Camilla & Jens

  41. Our arrival is June 29. We arrive at port at 10:00. Our ship is Freedom of the Seas. Do you have the Tulum land tour available? We have a group that will consist of from 8 to 15 people. 4 would be under 12. Do you have any group rates?

  42. We took the Cozumel Island Tour to the San Gervasio site and had a great time. The tour itself was interesting and educational. Our tour guide Angela Alfaro was super. She is full of wonderful information and tips about Cozumel and most important, her English is excellent making it easy to enjoy her stories and share her knowledge. I will recommend your company and your tour guide Angela to my friends and family.

  43. I just wanted you to know that you have a super operation and staff in Cozumel, Mexico. Unfortunatley I was unable to dive on my last visit and instead we decided to do the tour to the Cozumel Ruins. We had a great day with a great tour guide. Angela even gave out bug bracelets that kept us from being eaten by the bugs. She was very entertaining and patient….She speaks excellent English which also made the tour more enjoyable.

  44. Once again a great time in Cozumel. This time it was made even better by Angela Alfaro and Cozumel Choice Tours. We had a wonderful tour of the ruins and a great lunch at the beach. Angela is a super guide who is well versed in the history of the island. She is a wonderful and entertaining hostess who really made our day alot of fun. Kepp up the good work Angela and Cozumel Choice!

    1. Richard,
Thank you very much for your excellent comment and appreciation of our work. Thank you from the whole Cozumel Choice team.

  45. We just returned home after our trip to Cozumel. We had a great time with Angela touring the ruins, enjoying the beach, the tequila tasting, and the great information given by Angela. She was a joy to be with and helpful in everyway. We plan on recommending her and the tour to our friends and family.

  46. I just reserved 4 tickets for your 9am Tulum Tour on 12/25/2012. Your site says that a 20% deposit is required, but I was not asked to submit a credit card. Can you please let me know if I’m good to go?

  47. Hi,

I am visiting cozumel on a cruise on Dec 25th 2012. The ship is in port from 9 Am to 5 PM. Is there enough time to do the 9:30 Am tour? What time will we come back?

  48. Hi can you give me a quote for a tour possible in Italian for a Italian family arriving in cozumel 17 January with costa cruises 7 adult and 2 kids thank for your reply

  49. I am planning on booking this excursion on 17 of january with 7 adults and 2 children. I will be getting off of the Costa cruise Mediterranea and it is docked in Cozumel from 9am-5pm. Because you mentioned that Cozumel may be an hour earlier time than the ship,I need to know what time I should book. I want to go as early as possible so we won’t have to worry about getting back to the ship on time (preferrably an hour to spare after excursion). I am intersted in the Tulum and snorkel combo.possible in ITALIAN LANGUAGE

  50. We will be in Cozumel on 2 March 2013 aboard Oceania’s RIVERIA from 0800(arrive)to 1800(depart). We are interested in the “Ruins of Tulum” tour.

    1. Do we have enough time in port, and if so what tour departure time would you recommend?

    2. I need to use a rollator to walk long distances. The rollator is a 4-wheel light weight fold-up device similar to a walker but easier to maneuver. What is access to the ruin site like; have you been able to accommodate people with rollators or light weight folding wheel chairs?

    Thanks

  51. we are intested in booking a tour for the Tatum ruin.

2 persons arriving on the Celebrity Equinox, March 13th. We would like a 9:00 departure/meet time.

Let me know what is available, the cost per person, etc!

    Thank You!!

  53. We are inquiring on your round the island tour for two of us.

  54. We will be arriving in Cozumel on Freedom of the Seas on March 8th. We have 4 adults for the Tulum ruin tour. The ship itinerary lists arrival at 10 am. Is that 9 am local time? Allowing for any time change, which tour departure time would you recommend?

  55. Hola David and Juan
I am interested in doing the 11hr Tulum sail/snorkel and ruins. I am in Cozumel 02/27/13- 03/15/2013. I am a single on this trip and wondering if you have this tour that I can fit on any of these days? I am also wondering if it is possible for me to stay in Playa del Careman and catch a latter ferry back to Cozumel?

    Mucho Gracias
    Kevin Paulson

  56. We just returned from a cruise on the Norwegian Pearl, we were a little unsure about what to do, but the instructions provided were great and got us right where we needed to be. We found Sylvia in front of the sparrow fountain at the ferry pier, where she greeted us with a BIG “Welcome to Mexico!” and a hug. She was so sweet and so funny. We only had 6 people on the tour, so it was very personal and we were able to get to know everyone. Sylvia helped us all to the ferry and got us to Playa del Carmen just fine where we took a taxi/bus to Tulum. Sylvia has so much knowledge about the Mayan culture, it was absolutely fascinating as she told about the civilization on the drive to the ruins. She knew exactly where we should be to get the best views and avoid a lot of the crowds as she continued to tell us about the culture. I did get a little involved in chasing and filming the iguana that were everywhere! On the way back to Playa del Carmen, she taught us all about how the civilization evolved to the modern day. We got back to the ferry and Sylvia continued by helping us all to a taxi to make sure that we all got back to our ships on time. All I can say is Sylvia was amazing, we had such a great time and will definitely recommend this tour to anyone we know headed this direction!

  57. Hello, On Monday March the 4th, my friend and I took the Best of Cozumel tour while traveling on the Royal Carribean Navigator of the Seas. Our tour guide was Angela Alforo, and she did a great job. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I do have one question. I don’t think we tipped enough, and I wanted to send Angela some more money to show our appreciation. Would that be possible, and if so, what would be the best way? Could I mail a pre-paid card (like from Visa or American Express), or is there some way to send money through some other way? I would be grateful for your help.

  58. My wife and I took the Best of Cozumel tour while traveling by the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas on March 15. Our tour guide was Angela Alfaro, she is well knowledge gave us lots of information about Mayan cultures and history. We have a wonderful memory in Cozumel Thanks, Angela.
    Taipei, Taiwan

  59. We took a Royal Caribbean cruise onboard Liberty of the Seas on March 21st to Cozumel Mexico. The tour with Native Choice was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide was Angela and she was amazing! Angela was extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and overall just perfect. The tour group size was small so we were able to really learn about the Mayan ruins in a very comfortable way. My 7-year old son was with us and he also really enjoyed the experience, thanks to Angela. We would highly recommend Native Choice and particularly Angela. We would happily tour with them again the next time in Mexico.

  60. We recently took the Tulum Maya tour. Our guide Audie made the trip! He was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time.

  61. April,04,2013,Royal Carribean, Oasis of the Seas. my cousin and I took the Mayan tour with Angela Alfaro. We had to meet at the 3 sparrow statue at the Ferry Pier. We got there early and ate breakfast at a restaurant right across the street.Food was unblievable good, we had breakfast, and being coffee lovers, enjoyed the coffee. Very clean and reasonable, breakfast for the both of us was $12.00.We did a little shopping and felt perfectly safe. Angela greeted us with ice cold water bottles and made all of us feel comfortable. There was another family with us. Walking through the small Mexico village square to the taxi’s was very interesting. Angela took up to the first church built in Mexico, which was exactly the same way when built. With the handmade alter and the handmade decorations for Easter, you felt a holiness presence that made you glow inside. Angela very informative about church and the square,. I really appreciated it. Going to the taxi, our driver was Angel, very nice and polite young man. He also made us feel comfortable. On the way to the Mayans Ruins, Angela told us history of Mexico and of the Mayans. We met Steve, an old Mayan, who was so proud to be Mayan, and could see it in his mannerism. He told us that Angela was more than capable of giving us the tour, but that he enjoyed it so much. We felt very honored to meet Steve,a true Mayan, who used to speak at Universities all around the world. He had patience with all of us and answered questions, we never felt rushed. On the way back, we stopped at a little roadside cafe,on the beach, where not only did we have a delicious meal, but could swim if you liked. We stopped there for about an hour, ate, put our feet in the water, and bought a few things in their small gift shop. On the way back, Angela was like an encyclopedia. So much so that when I got home, I got on the computer and read all about what I had learned. I would do this tour again and ask for Angela. I know that this is her job, but you can feel the sincerenity and proudness in her voice. This is not just a job for Angela, Steve and Angel, they are very proud of their heritage.
THANK YOU ANGELA, JEAN WYRWA and LORRAINE LUKAS

  68. Wanted you to know what an outstanding job I thought Angela did on our tour last week (July 2013). My only regret is that I did the longer Tulum tour. I think we could have learned a lot more with Angela as our guide on that longer excursion.

I’ll certainly come back to you next time I am in Cozumel and specifically ask for Angela…

  74. We took a Cozumel tour to the ruins and our guide was Raquel, she was great. She was very personable, with an inviting smile and charming disposition. She taught us so much about the culture and Tulum’s history. When we come back to Mexico we will surely use Native Choice again.

  77. I will arrive in Cozumel on Nov. 29 at 8:00 am on Norwegian Cruise line. Do you have an available tour (for 2) that morning? Where is the restaurant/beach that you stop for an hour? If the beach is a snorkeling site, we would like to do some snorkeling (We have our on equipment). Does your tour include the Punta Sur State Refuge and Light house?

    Thanks for your help,
    Jerry

  78. My husband and I took the Cozumel tour on November 7th, with Angela Alfaro, we absolutely loved it!! We were aboard the the Carnival Conquest and we were first time cruisers so we were not sure which excursion we wanted to take. Our travel agent recommended this excursion and we could not have had more fun. Angela was awesome, she was so friendly and very knowledgable of the island. She was such a joy and this tour made our whole trip!!

    Thank you,

  79. We would like to do the Tulum tour on Monday, 11-25-13. We come in on the Carribean Princess. Not sure what time we should book for – we get in at 8. I was thinking 10m but not sure about the time difference you mention.

  80. Hi! My fiance and I are going to be on our honeymoon and we will be in Cozumel on January 22nd, 2014 on the Carnival Legend. My itinerary says we will be in Cozumel from 10am-6pm ship time. We would like to do the Tulum by Land tour. I have two questions, is this enough time to do the tour and if so, what time should we book our tour for? We are only on the island for 8 hours so I just want to make sure we will not get left. Thanks!!

    1. Hi.. Congratulations for your upcomeing celebration.

I already have checked the timetable for your ship on Jan 22 and the only option posible becouse of the cruise, it would be EXPLORING COZUMEL: MAYAN RUINS, BEACH AND ISLAND TOUR.

The cost for that tour is 95 dlls per person. Is an amazing tour to allow you to enjoy tha past and the present of the culture.

Hopeing to hear from you if this fulfill your desires.

  81. We were lucky enough to experience the Tulum Ruin Tour with Raquel on Decemeber 26, 2013. We had the most wonderful time during this tour. Raquel was very passionate about the area and the Mayan culture. We could tell that she loved her work and it reflected in her stories of Mayan life during this time period. We will remember our brief time within the ruins for a very long time and share our experience with family and friends.

Angela greeted us at the sculpture of three swallows with open arms and made us feel welcome from the start. Raquel & Angela assured us the entire time that we would not miss our ships departure time and they kept to their word. It was a beautiful time in a magical place. Simply unforgettable.

    Thank you,
    Joe & Linda

  82. We went on the Wednesday, January 22 Tulum tour with Audi. We had a great time and learned a great deal. It was wonderful to be in a small group where we had the personalized attention of the guide. It was obvious that Audi enjoyed his work and he treated us like royalty. He told us the history of the region all the way to Tulum and back from memory and kept everyone’s attention (even the younger children in the group). We were very impressed with his professionalism. He even provided us with a Mexican remedy to help with the somewhat rough ride on the ferry. We also did a tour with David in Costa Maya in 2006 and we will recommend Native Choice to everyone we know will be in the area. Thank you for a great time.

  83. On your Tulum Tour–How long is the tour? How long will we be at the Tulum ruins? Will we have a private guide inside the ruins? Does your cost include the entrance fee to the Tulum ruins?

    1. Tom,

Great Questions!! Sorry for the late response. The Tulum Tour is 5.5 hours. You will be at the ruins for approximately 1-2 hours. We only do private groups of up to 12 people per group. The cost most definitely includes entrance to the Mayan Ruins Site!

Angela Alfaro was our tour guide for our Cozumel adventure on 2/5/15. Our group was with Laura Rados. Angela was an excellent tour guide. Every one of us loved her so much. She has an endless amount of knowledge and enthusiasm. We would highly recommend her as a guide for this wonderful excursion. Thank you so much.

  86. Our Tulum Ruins tour out of Cozumel in February 2015 with Angela Alfaro was nothing less than amazing. She went far above and beyond what would have been expected on a standard tour and was a true wealth of information and extremely friendly and helpful. She catered to our groups every need. I would highly recommend her for any tour you take to the Tulum Ruins

  88. We will be arriving Friday, Sept 4 on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. The stated arrival time is 10:00, but I do not know if that is ship time (Eastern Daylight) or local time. I would like to book the Tulum Ruins tour. Do I book the 10:00 local time tour or the 11:00 tour? I would like to return in time to tour downtown and have a drink before getting back on the ship by 6:30 so I would like to book the earliest tour possible.
    Thank You

    1. Jim,

Please excuse our delay, we have been very busy with tours for the past few weeks. It will be 10am ship time which is 11am in Cozumel (local time).
